Nationally recognized artist Ash Royer designed the winning entry in the logo competition to create a shared visual identity for the community’s commemoration of America’s 250th in 2026. The winning logo was chosen by over 400 members of the community in online voting. Ash will receive a special gift basket for winning the competition.
The logo will be used from now through 2026 to promote events and programs related to the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, including printed materials and merchandise created for the celebration and events currently being planned. Additionally, it will be made available to all Litchfield area organizations, institutions, businesses, and other groups planning events and programs connected with the 250th commemoration. The logo competition was sponsored by the Coordinating Committee and administered by the committee and Litchfield Historical Society Curator, Alex Dubois.
